Sa wa dee ka! (Thai for Hello)
Long time restaurateur Steve LeBlang has joined his wife Thanyanat and his former business partner Linda Parenti to open a new type of restaurant in Boulder. Suki Thai Noodle House is a new experience in dining similar to the casual yet superb street vendor cooking found in Thailand and the Thai Suki-style restaurants where customers have food cooked in front of them. Thanyanat, who was born and raised in Thailand, will oversee the recipes and preparation.
The service is fast/casual with no wait-staff or tipping. Customers order from the counter as they would from a street vendor in Bangkok, and receive their meal within minutes! Most entrees will cost less than $6.
Our signature noodle bowls offer many options. Choose one of eight entrees (roasted red Thai pork, spicy pork meat balls, shrimp, calamari, marinated steak, marinated chicken, tofu or fried tofu). Your selection will be added to the daily variety of up to eight fresh vegetables, such as Yu Choy, baby Bok Choy, Thai basil, mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, carrots and yellow squash. You can then choose from one of three Suki Thai broths (meat, vegetarian, or a spicy Thai Tom Yum sour lime broth), and watch your dish cook right before your eyes! The soup is poured over a bed of fresh rice noodles nestled in a ceramic bowl, and served with a side of our fresh Suki sauce--spicy chili sauce used for dipping and/or adding to your broth to spice it up.
Other menu items include a Thai seafood salad, a Thai fresh spring roll, and a Som Tum salad--Thailand's favorite salad of fresh green papaya tossed with lime, chili and fish sauce dressing). Beverages include Thai lime drink, Thai iced tea, and mango and coconut smoothies. Desserts include coconut ice cream and mangoes with coconut sticky rice. A children's menu for 12 and under is available.
Your food will be ready within minutes after you place your order. You can complement your entree with a variety of condiments such as Thai basil, Thai chilies, limes, fish sauce and crushed peanuts.
Community tables will allow diners to enjoy their meals Thai-style, with others. Take out will also be available.
